But, like the conclusion to this script, we are still a long way off to discovering the Neki Hokey:
"... Meanwhile at Headquarters --
'Tracy, just what do you think of these"wild boys" and old George Ozone?'
'Chief, we haven't scratched the surface.' ... "
Your research on obscure topics is stellar. This newspaper clip looks authentic.
ReplyDeleteMooPy, do you know how I could find a picture I posted on FB and can't find any more. I didn't know back then that I could save the pictures.
It was a Kangaroo laying on his back in the sun, and I captioned it, Groovin' on a Sunday afternoon. I think I got it from photo of the day from National Geographic, but I cannot find it there so far. Just asking in case...I will save it if it is found. Thanks, MOOP>
I'm jumping right in here. Syl, save pictures to your computer first...then attach or copy/paste to FB. Don't count on FB as archive material. If you uploaded it, it is saved somewhere on your hard drive.
ReplyDeleteLook at the date on the Tracy Comic...27 days before Pat was born. You and I were on the foot of Mom and Dads bed reading this that Sunday...before we got ready to go to church somewhere in FW.
It looks like the Neki Hokeys were the real deal...no guile. Dick Tracy...we could use him today.
Looks like the cabin cruiser is a "ChrisCraft", all teak, cypress and rosewood...lik'a hav' one.
ReplyDeleteWow, no doubt Dad read the newspaper that is posted here by Pat and then we went to the Methodist that is still there on Denton Hwy. in Haltom City where Mom played the piano in Sunday school, and I learned Jesus Loves Me, and got born again. Thank you.
DeletePat found the greatest pictures for me of Kangaroos and marsupials. It's great.
I do like that cabin cruiser made out of the teak wood too. I was thinking you were going to play a word on Words.
