  1. Syld, you are getting so good at this blogging stuff... !!! That's a real pretty bird... reminds me of what we used to call the Chi Chi birds that would hang upside down on limbs of the Sugar Maple trees.

  2. Colorful plummage of these species must be in part due to adaptation to their colorful environments, and otherwise, mating attraction. A few delicate groups survive the neighborhood here in mid-North Texas, but I would think the gulf area would have many more thriving. Up here they barely live long enough to mate; the other wildlife and domestic cats eat the birds, their eggs, and their young.

  5. Sounds almost like trigonometric functions: some old horse, caught another horse, taking oats away. Inverse: instinctively some old horse, incitefully caught another horse, instantly taking oats away.
